Influence

Some days ago I sold an old film camera of mine to a friend, along with the lenses I bought it with, and a couple of hours later I found myself almost regretting it. He’s very enthusiastic about the many hobbies he has and hearing him talk about his newfound passion made me want to pick up photography more seriously too, and I realized I will miss that camera and I won’t ever be able to use it again. I went through some old pictures I took with it because I felt a little nostalgic and saw people I don’t even talk to anymore but with whom I had a lot of fun in the past… I hope they’re doing great, despite our falling out.

I was pretty bad at taking pictures (still am) and years later I still struggle with using manual settings; I always feel lucky whenever I have nice subjects to take care of the mess that is my skills.
I’ll try to learn more this year so that I can use my cameras at their fullest…!
